A Light, Stable Junior Wheelie with a Bat Sleeve, in Demon Design
Overview
The Kookaburra 9500 cricket wheelie bag in the Demon design is a junior wheelie from the 2027 Kookaburra luggage range. It holds 61 litres, weighs just 1.95kg and is made from 600d and ripstop material.
It has side mounted heavy duty wheels for extra stability, medium storage capacity and an external bat sleeve. That makes it easy for young cricketers to pack, pull and manage on their own.
The Demon design matches Kookaburra's Demon range of bats and protection. Pick one up now and your junior will be set for winter nets and the April start.
Features
- Side mounted heavy duty wheels x 2: set wide for increased lateral stability, so the bag is less likely to tip.
- Medium 61 litre capacity: room for a junior kit without being too big to handle.
- Light 1.95kg build: easy for young players to pull and lift.
- External bat sleeve: holds one bat outside the main compartment.
- Internal and external mesh pockets: for smaller items you want to find quickly.
- Braided nylon straps and 600d ripstop material: a strong, tear resistant bag.
Design and Materials
The 9500 is made from 600d and ripstop material. Ripstop fabric is woven to stop small tears from spreading, which suits a bag that will be dragged, dropped and packed in a hurry.
It measures 700mm x 310mm x 280mm and holds 61 litres. The two heavy duty wheels are side mounted, which Kookaburra say increases lateral stability. Braided nylon straps make it easy to lift.
An external bat sleeve holds one bat, keeping it apart from the rest of the kit. There is an internal mesh pocket and an external mesh pocket for smaller items. At 1.95kg, the bag adds very little weight before it is packed.
This listing is the Demon design. The 9500 is also made in Kahuna, Prism and Rapid designs.

VKS Review
The Kookaburra 9500 cricket wheelie bag is a well sized first kit bag for a junior. It is light, stable on its wheels and has a bat sleeve, so young players can manage it themselves.
It suits junior and school cricketers. As players grow and carry more kit, the 4500 wheelie offers 91 litres and a full length bat pocket. You can also visit our London store in Ealing to see it before you buy.
